공연개요
Conductor Sir Antonio PappanoSince his first international debut in 1990, Sir Antonio Pappano has been successful as a conductor of the Vienna Staatsoper in 1993, the Metropolitan Opera in 1997, and the Bayreuth Festival in 1999. He has built up an unrivaled career as an opera music director, serving as a music director of the Royal Opera House since 2002 and the music director of Santa Cecilia since 2005. Starting in 2024, he will meet music lovers around the world as a permanent conductor of the London Symphony Orchestra. Pianist Yuja Wang The pianist Yuja Wang, who joined the concert on behalf of Marta Argerich in 2007, has captivated audiences and critics with her colorful techniques, as a pianist who represents the Deutsche Grammophon. The pianist Yuja Wang, who mesmerizes audiences around the world with her own powerful and splendid performances in the conservative classical performance world, is on stage all over the world both as a soloist and as a collaborative pianist of world-class conductors. She recently toured China with the Vienna Philharmonic, and had a duo recital with cellist Gautier Capucon, and a solo recital tour in Europe and Asia. In addition, she has been active around the world, performing in collaboration with the Boston Symphony, Toronto Symphony, San Francisco Symphony, and Philadelphia Orchestra. Apart from music, she is a strong influencer as a global ambassador for Rolex, Rimowa, and La Mer. Performance Orchestra The London Symphony Orchestra founded in 1904, is the oldest, long-standing orchestra in London still active in the world to this day. Beginning with the first permanent conductor Hans Richter, the London Symphony has been with the best contemporary conductors of its time, from Thomas Beecham, Pierre Monteux, André Previn, Claudio Abado, Michael Tilson Thomas, Colin Davis, Valery Gergiev, and Simon Rattle. In March 2021, the LSO announced that Antonio Pappano would take the baton as its permanent conductor from Sept. 2024.
